These three photographs are various stages of sunrise on the Neuse River in Oriental, North Carolina (ONC). In the first photograph, the sun had not even poked through the horizon yet, but, the sky was turning orange and a small crescent moon hung high in the sky. In photography number two, the sun had poked through about half way. And in photography number three, the sun was completely free of the horizon– and only had to tackle a few clouds.
